December Snow

Our December monthly snow total is now 18.8 inches. On Christmas morning the average depth was around 8.5 inches. Water equivalent of the snowpack is currently around 1 inch (measured 0.92 inch). A late week warmup along with rain will likely result in significant melt along with fog before colder air is expected by New Year’s day.

First Significant Snowfall of the season

We measured a storm total snowfall of 6.4 inches from the first significant snow event of the season. The snow fell over about a 14 hour period beginning Friday evening.
