2010 Climate Summary

Here are 2010 climate stats for Goose Lake Weather. Note that the weather station’s automated rain gauge tends to underestimate in heavy rainstorms and does not accurately measure the liquid equivalent of melted snow. Therefore, the precipitation total is from my manually read CoCoRaHS rain gauge and snowfall totals are manually recorded as well.

Total precipitation of 34.37 inches was down considerably from the above normal total for 2009 of 55.18 inches. We did experience a very dry latter half of fall from mid September to November. In addition to below normal precip, fall was known for well above normal temperatures extending into late November with 60s and 70s common.
