The last in a series of disturbances brought a line of thunderstorms through last night. Some residual showers early this morning and a brief shower later this afternoon brought the 3 day total to about 2.3 inches. Much heavier rain fell about 25 to 30 miles north of here last night with portions of Joliet and Plainfield receiving between 3 and 4 inches. High pressure building in promises a great weekend and start to next week with much more comfortable temperatures and lower humidity.
